Reporting isn't just a dashboard to glance at. It's how you know whether the system is actually working, and where the next fix should be aimed if it isn't. A handful of numbers matter far more than the rest.
Average first response time is the single most important one. If it's creeping up, something in the response layer needs attention before anything else. This is the number most directly tied to whether a fresh lead stays warm or starts going cold.
Conversion rate by stage tells you where leads are actually dropping off, rather than just how many convert overall. A high drop-off between "qualified" and "booked," for example, points to a different fix than a high drop-off between "booked" and "showed up."
Follow-up completion, how consistently a nurture sequence actually reaches every step it's supposed to, catches silent failures that a conversion number alone won't show you. And source-level conversion tells you which lead sources are actually worth the spend, versus which ones look busy but rarely turn into anything.
None of these numbers are useful in isolation. They're useful together, read regularly, as a way of catching a problem while it's still small instead of finding out three months later that a whole lead source quietly stopped converting.
